ABOUT FINDS STORIES
Finds Stories is a transdisciplinary project with the aim to examine and narrate the impact that mobilities have on human and non-human agents. This project explores the ways in which mobility, both physical and social, shapes the lives of individuals, object and natural environments. We are interested in the 'stories' of people who have moved or are still moving across regions, different landscapes, borders, as well as the journeys of the objects they are engaging with.
Our team of researchers draws on expertise from anthropology, archaeology, sociology, and creative arts to examine the complex relationships between mobility and identity, culture, and social change. By collecting and analysing biographical data, we aim to uncover the diverse experiences of mobile groups and their material culture, shedding light on the diverse ways in which mobility shapes our world. Using creative arts, we enhancing these biographies and we create metanaratives that explore mobility's impact though a new research paradigm.
On this website, you can find information about our research team, our research methods, and our findings to date. You can also browse examples of biographical data and their creative interpretations, which we have collected from individuals past and present from areas across the South East Europe. We welcome feedback, comments, and suggestions, and we invite you to engage with us and our events as we continue to explore the impact of mobility on people, objects, and landscapes.
